Haircuts

I finally broke down and cut my kids hair myself.  After halloween I couldnt brush through Camdyns hair since she had sparkly glitter in it.  It took me 15 minutes (which is forever in a four year olds mind) to brush through her hair...and she whined the entire time (which seemed like forever for me!).  Anyhow, I couldnt take it, I had to cut it.  So I cut off about 3 inches.  It looks pretty good for an amateur (Im sure my sister would disagree...ha ha!)

And Mr Cade of course had to get in on the action.  I couldnt bring myself to cut much off him though.  Im having a hard time parting with those darn curls.  I mean just look at them :)!

He loved it though.  He knows he looks like a big boy!

Ladies night out

Ladies night out.  This is my second year on this extravaganza.  Last year my friend Renee asked me to come along on the van ride throughout the boutiques in Lincoln.  She told me we would be chauffered around Lincoln and at each boutique there would be wine and snacks.  Sold!  It was such a good time last year that when she asked me to go again I had no hesitation.  It was a good time again, and I got lots of good stuff this year.

Camdyns Social Calendar

Is already starting.  It just amazes me how many new friends she has made since starting school.  I dont remember going to kids birthday parties when I was four...but I guess times have changed :)!  It sometimes amazes me how many new people I have met because of my kids (and reconnecting with old friends, whose kids are now in my daughters class).  A few of my friends are actually friends I have made through my daughters activities...it makes me feel like a "mom".  Im sure that doesnt make sense because clearly I have been a mom for over four years...but I really feel like a mom mom...you know like someones mom.  Someone in the dance studios mom, someone in the preschool class mom, someone at the birthday parties mom, and someone at the swimming pool mom.  Its no longer thats my baby - its thats my mom.  Im her side kick as opposed to the other way around.  I hope that makes sense to someone :)!

This is the infamous Carter.  Camdyns boyfriend.  He is all we hear about...and apparantly on his side too.  His Mom said he always draws her pictures at home and brings them to school the next day.  Too cute!!  (he is a triplet...and his parents also went to Northeast - small world)

The best part about Halloween for me was getting to see all the neighbors and meeting their kids.  We found out that two of the kids at Cam and Cades school (1 in cams class and 1 in cades class) live just down the street.  We cant wait to spend some time with them!!  Cam was so excited to see Emma and Cade was so excited to see Maggie!!

Husker Football  brought a couple of our friends over on Saturday!  There really isnt anything better then getting together with your friends and watching the huskers!

Trunk or treating!

The kids new preschool has a halloween party called "trunk or treating", where they just open their trunks (many decorated them) and pass out candy to the kids in the parking lot of Faith.  It was a great time, and really a perfect atmosphere for 4 and 2 year olds. Just the right amount of time to get through, plus it was nice for them to see all their friends and teachers!
